Cody is just your typical sixteen-year-old guy. He’s a bit hormonal and likes a girl. Well…except for the fact that he’s shape shifter. Oh, did I mention he is dead?

Living in The Realms, a parallel dimension, isn’t easy. This a place where supernatural creatures and humans roam together. However, you have to watch yourself, especially at night when who knows what lurks around.

my-thoughts

What a fun and quick read! Cody’s character is likable and developed fairly well in this short read. He is my favorite, not only because he’s the main character, but because he is sensitive, insecure, and strong all at the same time.

Having a crush on a girl, Cody turns into his wolf form, and it is adorable how he interacts with Simone (the girl he likes). From the way he enjoys a belly rub to the way he eats, Cody’s character can be seen through this furry animal.

The author does a nice job in developing The Realms. She takes the time to describe some of the creatures that live there, including a not-so-common supernatural being that you definitely don’t want to mess with (I won’t spoil the surprise!). I felt I was in Cody’s new world, and I appreciate the author in doing so.

In this well-written text, the only “issue” I had was I wanted more! The author’s writing style and unique tale is one to look out for!

Yes, I would. To those who enjoy some supernatural in their reading and learning about a new world!
