As I think of the books I would like to read this month, a few stick out.
Noah’s Wife by T.K. Thorne:
This 300+ page book features the Biblical tale of Noah’s Ark, but with a twist. It is told in the voice of Noah’s wife, who in turn has Asperger’s. This condition gives the young woman difficult times, but it can perhaps be a blessing as well.
I am really excited about this one because it takes a Bible story and Asperger’s (that is on the Autism spectrum), and this is something I’ve never read. I’ve started and am absolutely in love with the read already!
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling:
This will be a re-read for me, but I am super excited to re-read it. I love the Harry Potter series. Need I say more?
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel:
When a famous actor dies on stage, the world changes to one that is unrecognizable. As the world begins to change, the reader is taken back and forth in time. We follow both the actor’s younger years and The Travelling Symphony, a theater group that travels through what remains of the world.
I’ve actually read this one before, but it is OBC’s March’s Book of the Month, so I plan on giving it a re-read.
Of course, I plan on reading more than these three, but these are my top picks. Can’t wait to get started!
