downloadDue to health issues prevalent in his family, Ralph is not feeling the Christmas spirit. His wife, Stacey has the idea of perhaps a puppy would bring more joy in his life. When she meets a homeless man with no family, her plans rapidly change, but can she still help her husband to smile once again?

This is one of those reads that suffers a bit due to its brevity. The reader doesn’t really get to know the characters well, not too much development happens, and the reader is left wanting more.

Though most of the story flowed fairly well, the ending was very abrupt. The resolution was concluded in one small paragraph at the end, and there were several questions left unanswered. With the ending, it didn’t really make sense with the storyline to have several days of the same routine, but then the next day everything changed. It would have been nice to see what was it that made the change occur.

Overall, this was a sweet story, but needed more depth and a more thorough ending.

Sure. To those who like short, sweet Christmas stories.
