Happy July everyone! Monthly TBR is a segment where I try to anticipate what books I will read each month. I find this helps me to keep track of my reading, keeps me focused, and feel accomplished.
Without further ado, here’s my July 2018 TBR list, and I’m excited for this month! Hope you all have a great reading month, too!
July 2018 Poll Winner!
1) The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini: This book was voted for My Book Bucket List – July 2018 Book a few days ago. I’ve been meaning to read this for a while, so I was happy when it was selected for my July read.
NetGalley:
2) The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw: Geez, The Wicked Deep has been on my mind for literally months. Fingers crossed I can read it this month!
3) The Gallery of Wonders by Marc Remus: I’m nearly finished with this one, and I’m afraid its “similarities” to Harry Potter is too much for me. We’ll see, but I’m thinking this isn’t a series I want to continue for long.
4) The Golden Maple Tree by Marc Remus: Even though I’m not enjoying the first in the children’s series, Magora, I’ve committed myself to finish these books via NetGalley.
My Own Choosing:
5) Troublemaker by Leah Remini: The autobiography follows the life Leah Remini as she experiences Hollywood and Scientology. I’m about halfway through the book, and there are parts I find interesting while others not so much. We’ll see how the second half goes!
6) Zeva by Tesha Finley: I recently “purchased” this e-book for free and was very interested toward the beginning of the novel, so I’m excited to continue!
Ongoing Reading:
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and A Clash of Kings: These two books, which are both part of my all-time favorite series, are ongoing reads for me and are both re-reads. For Harry Potter, I am following a podcast, Harry Potter and the Sacred Text, as they read and discuss chapter by chapter. A Clash of Kings, I am also doing something similar, where I read and listen to a discussion of what I read; each episode of the Davos’ Fingers podcast focuses on four to five chapters of the book. This method helps me to dive even deeper into each text, and I absolutely love it!
Thank you for reading!
Here’s to another great month of reading!

Haha, I know! The podcast I’m listening as I read chapter-by-chapter should be wrapping up Goblet of Fire this month, so I’ll be done re-reading it!
