Monthly TBR – October 2018

Can’t believe it’s already October and the holidays are right around the corner! I’m a few days late, but here’s my October Monthly TBR.

Monthly TBR is a segment where I try to anticipate what books I will read each month. I find this helps me to keep track of my reading, keeps me focused and feel accomplished.

October 2018 Poll Winner!

1) A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness: This book was voted for My Book Bucket List – October 2018 Book last month, and I am super excited that it was chosen. I’m actually about 60% done already and it’s so good!

NetGalley:

2) The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain: This was a book that I aimed to read last month, but as it goes, I didn’t get to finish it, so it’s back on here.

3) Unwritten by Tara Gilboy: Middle grade and fantasy are always a welcomed combination for me, so when I saw this on NetGalley, I knew I had to give it a try!

My Own Choosing:

4) The Bigfoot Paradox by Rebecca Coyte: This sounded like it had a fun premise – Bigfoot/Sasquatch. I found it to be a middle-of-the-road book, but can see youngsters enjoying it.

5) The Choice by Edith EgerI’m about halfway through this book and would like to finish it this month. Crossing my fingers that I finish it soon!

6) Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor: Here’s another one that I didn’t read last month. I have the trilogy and would love to dive into it this month.

7) The Diviners by Libba Bray: With this book, I am participating in a read-a-long at OnlineBookClub with a fellow reading buddy. I’m about an eighth into the book and really enjoying it so far!

Thank you for reading!

Here’s to another great month of reading!
