Here’s another mini-review of a book I recently reviewed for OnlineBookClub.org. To read my full OnlineBookClub official review, you can go here: Down the Monster Hole
👻😈Also, it’s another spooky book for the month of October! 😈👻
Genre: Fantasy/Middle Grade
Themes: Change, Self-discipline, Relationships
~ The Good ~
- Eccentric animals/monsters
- Creatures added a sense of humor
- Setup for dream sequence was interesting
~ The Not-So Good ~
- Characters were one-dimensional
- Choppy storyline
- Some plot holes
- Theme was weakly presented
- Needs another round of editing
For those who enjoy the writing style of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland may find some enjoyment in this text.
Was this a book of my choosing or one for review?

Definitely doesn’t look like this is for me–I need great characterization to pull me through a story. Hopefully you’re on to better reads!

I agree, Alyssa, I also need great characterization in the books I read. Yep! I’m on to better read, thank you. 😀
