Because this is one of my favorite times of the year (spending time with loved ones and beautiful music), I decided to read some Christmas-oriented books this month. Here is my first Christmas Book Review for December 2018!
Pages: 40
Genre: Children/Poetry/Holiday
Publication Date: January 1, 1995
Themes: Hope, Peace, Inclusion, Happiness, Love, Joy
A beautiful poem that speaks of inclusion and the happiness that the holiday season brings.
This was an adorable and meaningful poem. I usually don’t read too much poetry as they can confuse me and I never seem to be able to get the rhythm of reading the words. However, I’m happy to say there was nothing confusing about this children’s poem. Its inclusive and warm message will be sure to touch many children’s and adults’ hearts, like it did mine.
One of my favorite aspects of the book were the illustrations. There were different races, genders, and scenes throughout the book that I couldn’t help but smile the entire time.
I loved reading this book and can see this being part of my home library (once we find a home!).
Children and adults who enjoy reading an inclusive message about peace and joy during this time of year will certainly enjoy this one!
